Applying for Fellowship
Submissions will ONLY be accepted by the National Office by emailing completed applications to fellowship@aacvpr.org. A $50 non-refundable application fee is now required.
The AACVPR fellowship application process has been adjusted to better reflect the unique contributions made by our members. In response to this diversity, two separate application tracks have been created. Please select either the research-based application or the service-based application below.
Applications are due to the National Office by April 1, 2012.
Research Track Application
Research track applications should be considered for those who have spent a significant portion of their career focusing on the performance of original research, grant writing, journal article writing, invited meeting presentations, and other scholarly activity. Applicants in this field most likely will have spent a majority of their careers at academic institutions or research-based medical facilities.
Service Track Application
The service track application is designed for those applicants who have had significant involvement in AACVPR at the national level. This would include service on committees, community service, special service to the AACVPR (Day on the Hill, JCRP reviewer), and service on the Executive Committee. In addition, additional consideration will be given for those who have shown significant participation in their affiliate organization, other professional societies related to Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation, and other community organizations.
