Hotel Accommodations

The 34th Annual Meeting will be held at the Oregon Convention Center (OCC). Please note the deadline to book a room within the AACVPR block has passed. If you have any questions, please contact aacvpr@aacvpr.org

Shuttle Service Hours
AACVPR will provide a free shuttle service between the Hilton Portland and the Oregon Convention Center. Those staying at the DoubleTree are within walking distance to the venue. The pick-up location is outside of the Hilton Portland

IMPORTANT: Individuals planning to attend the 34th Annual Meeting should not book hotel rooms with companies that claim to be official representatives arranging hotel accommodations for Annual Meeting attendees. Traveling to Portland, Oregon

By Air
The Oregon Convention Center is located eleven miles from the 
Portland International Airport.

To and From the Airport
Taxicab stands are conveniently located near the Arrivals (baggage claim) exits of each terminal. Dispatchers at each stand will help you select a taxicab based on your destination in Portland. No advance reservations are required—service is on a first-come, first-served basis. Fares to the Oregon Convention Center are approximately $50.00.

 

MAX Light Rail connects the airport to downtown Portland. The MAX light rail Red Line is the easiest way to travel to and from the airport. The MAX station and ticket machines are located on the lower level, next to the south baggage claim area. The trip between the airport and downtown Portland takes 38 minutes. An adult ticket costs $2.50. The first train of the day arrives at PDX at 4:45 a.m. and the last train departs PDX at 11:50 p.m.


Parking
Self-parking is only available at the DoubleTree by Hilton Portland is offering parking for $27.00 per day. Valet parking is available at the Hilton Portland & Executive Tower for $52.00 per day.


Getting To and From Convention Center


Public Transportation

All AACVPR attendees and exhibitors will receive your free MAX pass (valid for the duration of the Annual Meeting dates) when you pick up your registration badge at the Oregon Convention Center. You must simply tap your card on a designated card reader each time you board the MAX light rail. Fines for riding without using the card reader is $175. Coming soon: the MAX light rail map with routes from both AACVPR hotels.


If you're staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton:

Exit the main lobby and take a right on NE 11th Avenue. At the Lloyd Center NE 11th Avenue MAX station, board the Blue train westbound toward Elmonica/170th. Exit the train at the Rose Quarter Transit stop. 


If you're staying at the Hilton Portland & Executive Tower: 

Exit through the main lobby; turn left onto SW 6th Avenue for 1.5 blocks then left onto SW Yamhill Street. At the Pioneer Square South MAX station, board the Blue or Red Line train eastbound toward Portland Airport (red line) or Gresham (blue line). Exit the train at the Rose Quarter Transit stop. 


To return to the Hilton Portland, enter the MAX station at the Rose Quarter Transit stop, then board a Blue or Red Line train westbound toward Hillsboro (blue line) or City Center & Beaverton (red line). Exit the train at the Pioneer Square North station, turn left at the platform, then right onto SW 6th Avenue for 2.5 blocks. The hotel will be on your right.


Walking

The Hilton DoubleTree is also within walking distance of the Convention Center (approximately 0.4 miles, 9 minutes). Exit the main lobby and take a right on NE 11th Avenue, then take another right onto NE Holladay St. This street will take you directly to the Convention Center.

Temperatures in Portland in mid-September average in the 70s with lows in the 50s. Anticipated rainfall for the month of September is 2 inches.
