Harmonicas for Health: Exploring Harmonica Therapy for Rehab Patients
Location: Ballroom AB
Speaker: Larry Vesely, RRT, Indiana University Health, Bloomington Hospital, Cardiopulmonary Rehab

ScottCare is proud to share this popular program that regularly receives rave reviews. Attendees of both cardiac and pulmonary programs will benefit from new skills they can apply to their everyday practice. This fun and highly informative hands-on session introduces the simple and proven harmonica exercises that can be used to teach patients pursed lip and abdominal breathing techniques for improved respiratory function and pulmonary hygiene. Attendees will also learn how easy it is to establish beginner harmonica therapy classes within their rehab programs, which can help further invest patients in their own care. We promise you’ll have a great time learning to play some simple songs on the harmonica as you engage in a new way to inspire your patients toward healthier living through music! The first 200 registrants through the door will receive their own harmonica—it’s music to your lungs!
