< Return to Speaker Resources

Thank you for expressing interest in presenting your abstract submission for the 36th Annual Meeting. Below is everything you need to prepare a successful presentation. If you have any questions, please reach out to speakers@aacvpr.org for assistance.

Poster research presentations will be hosted on a virtual meeting platform. Oral abstracts presentations will only be featured as part of the online, on-demand component of the Annual Meeting. No in-person poster component is scheduled in the live meeting program, therefore, you are not required to attend in-person meeting. The online component of the Annual Meeting will be hosted on Pathable and will be available to all beginning on October 25, 2021. Each presenter will be allocated 10 minutes to verbally review the rationale, key methods, main results, conclusions and comment on the "real-world, clinical application" of their findings. In addition to the 10-minute oral presentation recording, you may also submit any visual aids in a PDF or PPT format. We will send an additional communication with more information regarding your options to record the 10 minute presentation.

Should you accept our invitation, please email your poster file and presentation recording to speakers@aacvpr.org by August 1, 2021.

Note: PDF and PPT files must be under 2GB to be uploaded. Please compress larger files or consider a different file format. Presentation recording must be in MP4 form.

Six abstract presenters have been chosen to give podium presentations during the "Beginning Investigator Award" session, currently scheduled for Thursday, October 7 from 10:45 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the AACVPR 36th Annual Meeting in San Antonio, Texas. Each presenter will be allocated eight minutes to verbally review the rationale, key methods, main results, conclusions and comment on the "real-world, clinical application" of their findings.  The moderator will then hold a four-minute Q&A segment at which time attendees can ask questions and generate discussion.  When one abstract in the group has been completed, the moderator will have the attendees proceed to the next abstract, and so forth. Only one award winner will be chosen. The winner will be announced during the Awards Showcase on Friday, October 8.

Additionally, we please ask that you complete a survey to provide us with your intent to participate, and if you anticipate being able to travel in person to attend the event. Please note: depending on the responses from invited participants, the format of the presentation may change to be virtual to ensure as many presenters can participate as possible. As soon as we have determined the format of the presentations, we will reach out to all presenters to confirm the details. If you would like to accept this invitation, you will also be asked to complete a number of disclosure questions. To access the survey, click here.
