The 2018 Program Certification process and application will focus on helping programs assess patient outcomes that can be impacted by cardiac or pulmonary rehabilitation. The goal is to help drive changes in programming if needed. Demonstrating value in healthcare is of the utmost importance. Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Programs are being called upon to demonstrate the “value add” of participation in the programs. This means, quite simply, that we must demonstrate and report outcomes for patients that result from having participated in Cardiac or Pulmonary Rehabilitation. The AACVPR Quality of Care Committee (QCC) in conjunction with members of the Program Certification and Registry Committees, developed six core outcome measures and one process measure that CR and PR Programs will need to report on to assess whether the care provided in the program leads to meaningful patient outcomes or whether changes need to be made in order to improve patient outcomes.
The AACVPR Education Committee has produced a series of seven webinars–one for each core outcome measure-that details the description and definition of the measure, the rationale for the choice of the measure, how to collect the data related to that measure and calculate the outcome, and references to provide in depth information related to the measure.
These webinars are comprehensive, succinct presentations that include all the information you need to understand the Performance Measures and reporting requirements for Program Certification.
You can now purchase these webinars individually or as a set (CR, PR, or both) and have access to the content for one year from date of acquisition. Don’t be left behind by the rapidly changing world of program certification. Help yourself, your staff, and your patients by staying up to date with the help of these webinars.
Please note: CEC is not offered for these products as they are considered a resource.
