AACVPR Day on the Hill (DOTH)
AACVPR's Day on the Hill (DOTH) event allows members to play a large role in advocacy by gathering in Washington D.C., and representing their states while meeting with U.S. Senators and U.S. House of Representatives, in hopes to advocate Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation legislature. DOTH provides members an opportunity to meet with their legislators, and legislative staffs, as constituents, voters, and healthcare professionals. National Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Weeks
AACVPR’s National Cardiac Rehabilitation Week honors the Cardiac Rehab profession by drawing attention to the role of cardiac rehabilitation in reducing the potentially devastating effects of heart disease. Cardiac Programs around the country celebrate annually in February. Similarly, AACVPR’s National Pulmonary Rehabilitation Week honors the Pulmonary Rehab profession by drawing attention to the role of pulmonary rehabilitation in enhancing the quality of life of individuals with lung disease. National Pulmonary Rehabilitation Week occurs annually in March, a month after Cardiac Rehab Week.
