The American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC)
The AARC is a nonprofit organization with more than 52,000 members worldwide. Membership consists primarily of respiratory therapists and allied health practitioners with 2-4 years of college-level training to assist physicians in caring for patients with lung disorders and other conditions. The AARC is also the only professional association supporting Respiratory Care in the United States. In addition to lobbying for beneficial legislation, the AARC encourages and promotes professional excellence, works to advance the science and practice of respiratory care, and serves as an advocate for patients, their families, the public, the profession and the respiratory therapist.

The American College of Cardiology (ACC)
The ACC is a nonprofit medical association with more than 52,000 members. Its mission is to transform cardiovascular care and improve heart health through the formation of public health policy, standards and guidelines. The ACC operates national registries to measure and improve care, offers cardiovascular accreditation to hospitals and institutions, provides professional medical education, disseminates cardiovascular research and bestows credentials upon cardiovascular specialists who meet stringent qualifications. The ACC also produces the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, ranked number one among cardiovascular journals worldwide for its scientific impact.

The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM)
The ACSM is a sports medicine and exercise science organization with more than 50,000 members and certified professionals worldwide. ACSM is dedicated to advancing and integrating scientific research to provide educational and practical applications of exercise science and sports medicine. Members of the ACSM are committed to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of sports-related injuries and the advancement of the science of exercise. ACSM also offers certifications and continuing education for fitness professionals as well as clinicians, and has a reputation of being the "gold standard" in the health and fitness industry.

The American Heart Association (AHA)
The AHA is the nation’s largest voluntary organization dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke. With more than 22.5 million members, the AHA funds innovative research, fights for stronger public health policies and provides critical tools and information to save and improve lives. It works to help people understand the importance of healthy lifestyle choices through science-based treatment guidelines, and advocates for changes to protect and improve cardiac health. 

The American Thoracic Society (ATS)
The ATS is a member-focused nonprofit association focused on improving care for pulmonary diseases, critical illnesses and sleep-related breathing disorders. Its 16,000 members come from a range of professions such as physicians, research scientists, and nurses and other allied healthcare professionals (32 percent of whom work outside the United States). The ATS works to achieve its mission through advocacy, specialized committees, research, patient and professional education, and nationally acclaimed journals and publications. 

The Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) Foundation
The COPD Foundation is a nonprofit organization established to undertake initiatives related to COPD, a preventable and treatable disease. The Foundation works to speed innovations that will make treatments more effective and affordable, undertake initiatives that result in expanded services for COPD patients, and improve the lives of patients with COPD and related disorders through research and education that will lead to prevention and, someday, a cure.

The Medical Fitness Association (MFA)
The MFA is a professional membership-based association dedicated to the success and delivery of medically supervised and integrated outcomes and accountability-based fitness and exercise platforms. It is the only authentic organization dedicated to the medical fitness difference and integrated products and services as the prescription for better healthcare delivery. The MFA provides service and support to medical fitness professionals by providing industry guidelines, continuing education programs, outcome data and benchmarks, facility certification, networking opportunities, and ongoing research.
