AACVPR 26th Annual Meeting Highlights
AACVPR 26th Annual Meeting featured more than 60 speakers, showcased 40 exhibitors, and drew 800 attendees. Keynotes, breakout sessions, hands-on learning, networking events, and the Exhibit Showcase gave attendees plenty of opportunities to grow their knowledge, make new contacts, and discover best practices to take home to their programs.
Highlights of the event included:
- Keynote Speaker, Kate Larsen, explaining how to inspire yourself and your patients with The Coach Approach.
- Closing Keynote, John C. Lewin, discussing the steps to rehabilitate the U.S. Healthcare System.
- Featuring a record number of exhibitors, attendees had access to all the latest products to help improve the quality of care for patients.
- Presentation of the AACVPR Awards to AACVPR leaders.
- Award of Excellence: Karen Lui, RN, MS, MAACVPR
- L. Kent Smith Excellence in Clinical Practice Award: Vera Bittner, MD, MSPH, FAACVPR
- Michael L. Pollock Established Investigator Award: William L. Haskell, PhD, FACSM, FAACVPR
- Distinguished Service Award: Gerene S. Bauldoff, RN, PhD, FAACVPR; Larry F. Hamm, PhD, FAACVPR
- Presidential Recognition Award: Mark Williams, PhD, MAACVPR
- Outstanding Affiliate Award: Missouri-Kansas Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (MOSKACVPR)
