AACVPR is excited to unveil a new webinar series focused on electrocardiography (ECG)! This five-part offering will cover essential ECG interpretation and arrhythmia recognition skills tailored for cardiac rehabilitation professionals. Drawing from Dr. Zimmerman's ECG Core Curriculum and real clinical cases, the course will explore:
- Fundamental concepts of ECG electrophysiology and vectors
- Electrocardiography of acute and chronic coronary artery disease
- Arrhythmia interpretation
- Pacemaker electrocardiography
- Chamber enlargement, bundle branch block and preexcitation
- Pharmaceutical effects, QT syndromes and metabolic disorders
Purchase Bundle
Interested in one topic? Individual webinars within the bundle are now available for purchase in the AACVPR Learning Center.
Learning Objectives
- Understand the electrophysiologic basis for the normal ECG
- Identify and measure ECG intervals, segments and waves
- Demonstrate understanding of the vector concept and their relationship to ECG findings, avoiding reliance on pattern recognition
- Learn how to diagnose chronic coronary disease and differentiate acute coronary syndromes from “infarction imitators”
- Diagnose atrial and ventricular ectopic complexes, tachyarrhythmias and bradyarrhythmias
- Recognize chamber enlargement, bundle branch block and preexcitation
- Describe heart block and pacemaker electrocardiography
- Pinpoint the effects of medications and metabolic disorders on the ECG
- Interpret tracings using a system of structured reporting
- Spot “red flags” that warrant intervention or adjustment of exercise
