Legislative Priorities

This year, we are focused on two legislative priorities central to protecting access to high‑quality cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation:

  • Sustaining Outpatient Services Act (H.R. 7666 / S. 3908) – Current reimbursement cuts are creating financial barriers that limit program expansion, hinder program improvements, and reduce patient access.

Our ask: Support fair and sustainable payment policies to stabilize CR/PR programs and ensure all eligible patients can participate.

  • Sustainable Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Services in the Home Act (H.R. 783 / S. 248) – CR/ICR/PR programs are authorized to deliver virtual services through December 31, 2027.

Our ask: Make this flexibility permanent so patients facing transportation, geographic, or other barriers can continue receiving care at home.
