Moderator Resources
Thank you for participating as a moderator at the 40th AACVPR Annual Meeting. Your time and support are greatly appreciated! As a moderator, your responsibilities will include introducing the speaker(s) at the start of their presentation, monitoring the presentation for any conflict of interest, and assisting the speaker(s) with the facilitation of any questions at the end of the presentation.
Moderator packets containing the assigned session information will be available for pick up throughout the conference at the Registration Desk. Please note: each moderator will only receive one moderator packet; if you are moderating more than one session, all your session information will be in one moderator packet.
Moderator Packet Contents
- Session information sheet, including speaker bios (one information sheet per session)
- Attestation form and headcount sheet (one per session)
- Timecards
Moderator Responsibilities
- Arrive in the session room 10 minutes prior to the start of the session.
- Greet the presenter(s) and make sure that the AV team has been in to help set-up the presentation. Remind the presenter(s) to orally disclose any potential conflicts of interest prior to the start of their presentation.
- Confirm with the A/V tech that all audio visual needs have been met.
- Introduce the presenter(s) to the audience at the start of the session using the provided scripts.
- Support the speakers in starting and concluding the session on time.
- Complete the session attendance counts and Letter of Attestation. Both must be returned to the AACVPR registration desk by 4:15 p.m. on Friday, September 19.
